ADOL OPENS 53RD CAREER CENTER IN WASHINGTON COUNTY

CHATOM – The Alabama Department of Labor / Alabama Career Center System is proud to announce the opening of its 53rd Career Center. The Washington County Career Center opens Tuesday, April 6 at 9:00 a.m. at the new Washington County Public Library.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Services available at the Career Center include résumé assistance, interview preparation, job search assistance, educational and vocational assistance, and much more. For employers, the Center offers employee pre-screening, free job postings, and assistance in obtaining tax credits.

“The residents of Washington County have had to travel to surrounding Choctaw, Clarke, or Mobile County to visit a Career Center in-person. We’re excited to bring Career Center services to this underserved county.” said Fitzgerald Washington, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Labor.

The Alabama Career Center System is administered through the Employment Services Division of the Alabama Department of Labor. There are now 53 Career Centers located around the state. A complete list can be found at AlabamaWorks.Alabama.gov.
