Ft. Rucker Job Fair to be Held in Dothan; Veterans Encouraged to Attend
More than 165 Employers Registered with Over 5,600 Available Jobs

DOTHAN - The Alabama Career Center System, in partnership with Ft. Rucker Army Community Service, the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Southeast AlabamaWorks, and local community colleges, will host a Job Fair on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northview High School in Dothan, 3209 Reeves Street, Dothan, AL 36303. The job fair is free and open to the public.

More than 165 employers are scheduled to attend, including: Arma Aviation, Averitt Express, CAE USA, Commercial Jet Services, Dunn Construction, Michelin, and more. (Full listing of employers can be found at, with more being added daily.) More than 5,600 available jobs are represented.

Jobseekers are encouraged to pre-register online at Pre-registering will allow for faster entry, and participants are strongly encouraged to print their confirmation and bring it with them to the job fair or to save their confirmation e-mail on their phones. Jobseekers may also register on-site.

Veterans will be given priority assistance and those with military backgrounds are strongly encouraged to register and attend.

“We are excited to bring together so many employers with so many available jobs in the Wiregrass area,” said Alabama Department of Labor Secretary Fitzgerald Washington. “We have recruited a variety of employers to participate in the job fair and all of them have available jobs to fill – it’s one of our requirements to participate.”

“This job fair is open to everyone, not just veterans. There are civilian and government jobs available. There are opportunities in so many career fields. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a job or looking for a change in career,” continued Washington.

Applicants should come to the job fair with multiple copies of their résumés. They should be prepared to interview and should be dressed professionally.

The Alabama Career Center System’s mobile career center along with career center staff will be onsite at the job fair to assist jobseekers in applying for jobs.
