Effective January 1, 2023, unless you have been instructed that you do not need to search for work, Alabama law requires unemployment compensation recipients to perform three work search contacts each week. These contacts must be reported each week when you file your weekly claim. Please be prepared to provide three work search contacts beginning with your weekly claim for benefits for week ending January 7, 2023. Failure to provide required work search contacts may result in a denial of benefits.
